Hikkaduwa is approximately 99km away from Colombo along the Southern coastal belt of Sri Lanka and is home to Hikkaduwa Beach Hotel. About 20km west of Galle, this town is a popular beach destination among tourists and locals. Hikkaduwa can be reached by the Southern railway line that runs from Colombo to Matara as well as the Colombo - Galle main road.
